AN INTERIOR DESIGNERS TIPS ON CHOOSING THE RIGHT BED
With so much to consider, choosing the right bed for your space can quickly become overwhelming. So we reached out to a few interior designers to get their expert insights on what you should be thinking about when looking for the perfect bed to complete your bedroom sanctuary.
When it comes to choosing the right bed, I always focus on quality and comfort. A bed is a statement piece that will be a part of a home for many years, so selecting a base made from high-quality materials is a must.
I often suggest solid timber for its durability and natural warmth. Having clients ‘test’ the different options before purchasing is also so important. Elements such as height and length (especially for my taller clients!) have a significant impact on the overall quality of sleep.
As silly as it may feel, heading down to the showroom and getting to know the ins and outs of a bed frame and mattress is an investment in your wellbeing and happiness. - Coco Tully
Choosing the right bed design begins with the look and feel you are wanting to create in the space. If you are after a high-end feel, then an oversized, upholstered bedhead and frame in a luxurious fabric will do the trick.
If you are going for a more relaxed and minimal vibe, then a linen slip bedhead and frame is always a stunning option. A timber bed frame in a beautiful oak is also a favourite! My go-to for this look is the Totem Road Zara Bed. - Jessi Eve
