Director and Owner of made to order bed linen brand MILOU MILOU and our very own General Manager here at Totem Road, Jo Steel is passionate, driven and intentional. Having recently moved into a new home in Bondi Beach, we sat down with Jo to found out more about her interior style and personal purchase decisions.
Whether you're starting from scratch, renovating or simply redecorating, incorporating natural stone into your décor will add an instant touch of luxury. This tried-and-tested material has an undeniable appeal and our Carrara Marble comes straight from the earth, is durable and if cared for, it's lifespan infinite.
After winning The Block with his brother Simon back in 2014, Shannon Vos  has been very busy. Between interior design, renovating, writing for Inside Out and  Realestate.com.au and raising two "rough-and-tumble" boys, his days are very full. We caught up with Shannon to talk his recent renovation, design inspiration, family, furniture and the future.
Every Totem Road bed frame is designed with forever in mind. Each with its own unique footprint, the timeless and elegant designs work back with any interior style or space. Our sustainably sourced solid oak, its neutral tones and understated luxury add a raw and refined finish and here, we talk you through the differences of four of our bed frames.

Find out more about the newest addition to the Totem Road range. Made from sustainable solid oak, the Avery Bookshelf is a refined, timeless and durable design. Available in two sizes, the bookcase has either 6 or 8 shelves, providing ample space for collections of books, magazines and decorative items.

With a dedication to investing in forever pieces, Eleanor Pendleton already has a collection of Totem Road pieces, to which she has just added the Utopia Entertainment Unit. We chat to her at home, about her interior style and the things she considers most when purchasing furniture.

Solid oak allows us the ability to handcraft furniture that will be loved for generations to come. It's strong, it's timeless, versatile and easy to maintain. A dining table that you buy now as an example, can be used for years and then passed down to future generations.

We speak with Liz Linforth about the lightbulb moment which led her to create Conscious Cribs, the importance of choosing non-toxic materials for the home and the products she recommends for pared-back spaces that enhance our moods.

Creating a bedroom that strikes a perfect balance between style, comfort and functionality is no easy feat; the big-ticket items need to be timeless, the decor and storage clutter-free, and the overall feel, comfortable and warm.
Bed is where you spend a third of your life, so it’s important to choose a mattress that strikes an equal balance between comfort, support, affordability and longevity - though perhaps most importantly, to consider the materials that make up the mattress.
A collaboration between Sydney Artist, Arnie Arnold, Totem Road and Resene Paints, Organic Abstracts is a sustainable art offering that reflects the aesthetics and experience of Australian coastal living.

As we’re constantly evolving to achieve the most responsible stewardship of the planet possible we wanted to bring you behind the scenes to see how we craft our furniture to tread lightly on the earth.
