Can you tell us a little more about yourselves and Carlotta and Gee?
We are Carlotta + Gee - I am Gee, former publicist working on large brands and a travel journalist for News Corp with my own travel column. Carlotta worked in events and activation bringing to life grand scale events like the Australian Open.
Carlotta + Gee is an all-natural, eco-conscious Australian linen brand offering 100% French linen bedding and homeware products in a wide range of warm, earthy tones. Their mission is to encourage people to invest in their mental and physical health through a good night’s sleep, with bedlinen they can be proud of. Their 100% French linen bedding and homeware products are OEKO-TEX certified (to ensure the fabric contains no harmful substances). All products are pre-washed in volcanic stones to accelerate the softening process.
What are three ways you actively care for the planet in your own home and in your business?
At Carlotta + Gee, we pride ourselves on being eco-friendly and sustainable, this is in fact one of the reasons we started. We hated that so much water was used with cotton. Linen is very sustainable with everything having a purpose - i.e flax seeds used for salad, flax oil used for varnishing the furniture, flax plant used for linen bedding. At home living on a farm, we make sure all our food goes into compost to create beautifully rich soil to then use in our gardens.
Who is your biggest role model and why?
We would both agree it is our mothers - such independent, strong, fiery yet nurturing women who really have taken on the world both in business and personal. 
What are your top tips for designing a space with Carlotta and Gee in mind?
Keep it simple stupid we like to say. Don't overcomplicate - invest in good products, brands, services and the rest will happen. We have designed our colour palettes to all mix and match for everything to work together.

What is your nightly routine and how do you unwind?
Our days are both quite frantic with work and family life. Both Carlotta and I love to stop and enjoy a meal - barramundi and roast vegetables is a favourite after a long day. A bath is often a key to unwinding and using natural facial products to finish the day. A good night's sleep is so important (you can tell we even started a business to do with it), so ensuring the routine and process is in line to make sure we have the best night sleep - using Carlotta + Gee of course.
